The majority of acupuncture skills used by Taka is that of a combination
of traditional Chinese and Japanese methods, which is a virtually painless
style of performing acupuncture treatment. Additional techniques used to
treat acute and chronic health conditions are Herbal Medicine, and Nutrition
Conditioning.
One aspect of Taka's practice is prevention primarily based on the ancient
art of Chinese Medicine. Contrary to Western Medicine, Chinese Medicine
is not only for the treatment of symptoms, but more for the treatment of
source of the ailment. The final outcome is to bring the patient back to
health physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
A simplest way of exlaining acupuncture is the practice of lightly inserting
needles (sterilized and disposable) into key points of the body to correct
imbalances of life energy, also known as Qi (pronounced "chee"),
and to generate one's inner strength by that act.
Acupuncture can be effective in different ways. It is effective to prevent
illness, to promote health and well-being by stimulating the person's immune
system. For example The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes acupuncture
for treatment of the following medical problems:
-Gastrointestinal disorders---peptic ulcer, chronic diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, gastrointestinal weakness, anorexia and gastritis
-Urogenital disorders---stress incontinence, urinary tract infections (UTI)
-Gynecological disorders---irregular, heavy, or painful menstruation, infertility,
and pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS).
-Respiratory disorders---bronchial asthma, sinusitis, sore throat, common
cold.
-Musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders---: arthritis, back, neck
and shoulder pain, migraine headaches, neuralgia, insomnia and dizziness.
-Circulatory Disorders: hypertension, angina pectoris, and anemia.
-Emotional and Psychological disorders: depression and anxiety.
-Addictions---alcohol, nicotine, and drug dependencies.
-Eye, ear, nose and throat disorders
-Acupuncture is also effective for Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, irritable
bowel syndrome, and weight control.
